These Events Are Free To The Public And Open To All

June 1 – Luminous Ragas

Time: 8-10

Come enjoy Indian classical music with Steve Gorn on bansuri flute, accompanied by Bill Buchen on tabla and Hallie Lakshmi on tamboura. Rain or shine.

June 2^nd – Ukrainian Egg Decorating Workshop

Time: 1-4pm

Come decorate eggs in the traditional Ukrainian Style, or “Pysanky.” Patterns are drawn on the egg with wax and dye is applied. Participants will work with a candle and it could be dangerous for children. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

June 9^th – In Tune In June- Singer Songwriters

Time: 7:30 – 10:30

Local Musicians Under The Stars.

June 10^th – Children’s Clay Workshop - Magical Mystical Butterfly Creations

Time: 1-2:30

To celebrate the spring migration of the monarch butterfly come and create a multicolored butterfly from air-drying clay. Decorate your butterfly and take it home. Open to adults and children. Children under 7 must be with an adult. Free.

June 16^th (Rain Date: June 17^th) East Village Flamenco Kid's Annual Recital:

Time: 3-4 Snacks 4-5

This popular event showcases child Flamenco students in traditional Spanish Flamenco  Dances such as Pasodobles, Tangos, Fandangos and Sevillanas, with a picnic to follow. Festive attire suggested! dir Maya de Silva.

June 17^th: "Mobile-kitchen-cart"

Time: 1-3

"Mobile-kitchen-cart" is part of a foot tour with German performance group to get to know city gardens, meet up with people and talk and share some ideas and experiences in urban gardening and community activities.

June 24^th – Life Drawing in the Garden with Model 

Time: 1-4

The Long Life Drawing Pose in the garden. A clothed model will take one pose for most of 3 hours. Stay for an hour or stay for all 3 hours. Bring your own art supplies. Insect repellent recommended.
