Sunday, July 13, 2:30 to 5:00 PM TANABATA FESTIVAL The festival originates in the legend of the Cow Herd Star and the Weaver Star, lovers separated by the Milky Way, allowed to meet once a year. Write wishes on colorful strips of paper and hang them in our bamboo trees, along with festive origami and kirigami ornaments. (A teaching workshop for origami and kirigami!)

Saturday, July 19, 8:30 to 11:00 PM MOVIE NIGHT with OZONE, a feature by Jimmy Dougherty & selected shorts. Ozone is a dark comedy of high jinks about Jack, a dancing dog biscuit in a trade show who dreams of playing Hamlet in NYC. He returns to his old neighborhood to find that time has stood still. Voodoo and mayhem follow, interspersed with lots of laughs, featuring a host of characters from the Lower East Side and beyond.
Sunday, July 20 1 to 4 PM DRAWING IN THE GARDEN WITH A MODEL This event has become so beloved that we've decided to supply basic art materials to those who want to drop by (but best to bring your own)! Artists of all skills and interests get a rare chance.

Create your own X or even triple-X potato prints. (There will NOT be a live model.) Bring along Tshirts, undergear, and any odd fabrics you have to print upon. We will supply potatoes and ink.
