SEPTEMBER 7:  JAZZ NIGHT with Artemis collective pre launch party with Gitesha and Sarah James poetry and muse. Bring your instrument, vox, and energy. Celebrate Oshun's birthday and Gitesha's belated. 6:30 to 9:30 pm.

SEPTEMBER 12: "Dreaming in America - The Path Back"  Historical retrospective of events which occurred over the past 24 years.  An award winning video feature by Alex Harsley. The film was edited over the past 20 years, based on film clips, and news reels, and  written onto a DVD.

SEPTEMBER 13: SCIENCE IN AND BEYOND THE CITY 7:30 to 10:00 pm
Students from the Berkov tropical ecology lab at City College of New York are studying biodiversity-- from lush Neotropical rain forests to the out-of-the-way nooks and crannies of our own Central Park. Lin Li will discuss how beetle communities are affected by forest condition, Bridget Schaper will discuss how beetles deter their predators by mimicking more dangerous insects, and Jhunior Morillo will discuss how insects thrive in the habitat islands of urban parks.

SEPTEMBER 14: CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP with Mitra Dejkameh 4:00 to 5:00pm
Learn about the beautiful tradition of Persian (Dari), Urdu, Turkish, and Arabic calligraphy styles. Participants will then practice strokes, letters, and techniques using some of the oldest calligraphy tools in the world, including the reed and bamboo pen.
SUFI SONGS OF LOVE: Rumi, Hafiz & Yunis with Amir Vahab & Ensemble
5:30 to 7:00pm

SEPTEMBER14: SWAN SONG-with Loyan Beausoleil, Ron Jones, Mindy Levokove, Joe Munley.   Masks!  Shadow Puppets!  Horses!  Swans and Colorful Migrating Birds! A Rabbit, a Fox and a Wolf! A Snow Queen, a Moon Bride and a very Confused Man with Many Faces! And oh, no!  Watch out!  There's a Monster!!!
With Masks by Joe Munley. And Shadow Puppets by Beth Grim, Loyan Beausoleil and Mindy Levokove.  Performed by Loyan Beausoleil, Ron Jones, Mindy Levokove, Nancy Dean Cross, and Joe Munley. 8:00 pm -10:00pm

SEPTEMBER 20:  BEAD JEWELRY WORKSHOP with Christine Cameron Jewelry-making workshop where you learn to make a beautiful piece you can take home or give away. 1:00 to 3:00pm.
SEPTEMBER 20: SOUNDS IN THE GARDEN An eclectic mix of music with songwriters and performers from acoustic blues to ambient electronica. Come see a fabulous line-up.

SEPTEMBER 21:FILMS OF MM SERRA. MM Serra is an experimental filmmaker, curator, author and the Executive Director of the Film-Makers' Cooperative.  Titillating, sumptuous and always subversive, Serra's films focus on alternative cultures and intimate moments.  They are simultaneously eye-opening and awe-inducing.  7:00 to 10:00pm
SEPTEMBER 26: Films by JIMMY DOUGHERTY. Feature is "THE PARTY"-Lower East Side Mayhem discovers the "Everyman" candidate.  Plus shorts of the 6&B in years past and more…

SEPTEMBER 27:  MUSIC UNDER THE STARS A star-studded night of musical singers, songwriters, and bands from L.E.S/East Village stages, clubs, and performance venues. Breathtaking artistry. Do not miss it. 7:00 to 10:00pm.

SEPTEMBER 28: MAKE YOUR OWN STEAMBOATS with Science Artist REBECCA MALDONADO. Learn how steamboats work and make one to take home. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  1:00 to 3:30 pm.
