Tues, July 1 10:30 to 11:30 AM  STORYTIME READING FOR CHILDREN  Children and their caregivers are invited to join us for some stories and songs with Ms. Thea, our local children's librarian. Find out about all the free and wonderful programs happening at the Ottendorfer Library. Also July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, and Aug 5.

Friday, July 11, 7 to 9 PM THE WISTERIANS will present lovely jazz and eclectic, romantic favorites, with Karl Meyer on violin and Brooke Watkins on accordion. Spend an

Saturday, July 12, 1 to 3 PM BEAD JEWELRY WORKSHOP with Christine Cameron Jewelry-making workshop where you learn to make a beautiful piece you can take home or give away.

Saturday, July 12, 7 to 10 PM MUSIC UNDER THE STARS A star-studded night of musical singers, songwriters, and bands from L.E.S/East Village stages, clubs, and performance venues. Breathtaking artistry. Do not miss it.

Sunday, July 13, 2:30 to 5:00 PM TANABATA FESTIVAL The festival originates in the legend of the Cow Herd Star and the Weaver Star, lovers separated by the Milky Way, allowed to meet once a year. Write wishes on colorful strips of paper and hang them in our bamboo trees, along with festive origami and kirigami ornaments. (A teaching workshop for origami and kirigami!)

Saturday, July 19, 8:30 to 11:00 PM MOVIE NIGHT with OZONE, a feature by Jimmy Dougherty & selected shorts. Ozone is a dark comedy of high jinks about Jack, a dancing dog biscuit in a trade show who dreams of playing Hamlet in NYC. He returns to his old neighborhood to find that time has stood still. Voodoo and mayhem follow, interspersed with lots of laughs, featuring a host of characters from the Lower East Side and beyond.

Sunday, July 20  1 to 4 PM DRAWING IN THE GARDEN WITH A MODEL  This event has become so beloved that we've decided to supply basic art materials to those who want to drop by (but best to bring your own)! Artists of all skills and interests get a rare chance.

Wed, July 23, 8:30 PM PLANTING IN HABITATS. ULI LORIMER, Curator of Brooklyn Botanical Garden’s Native Flora Garden offers a wonderful slideshow. See BBG’s native garden habitats.

SATURDAY JULY 26TH 6B GARDEN EVENTS FUNDRAISER MUSIC, FOOD, FLOWERS, & FUN!!! Performers from our events. Food from local restaurants, shops and great cooks. (Contribution suggested to keep our events going!) Look for a flyer for more details.

Wed, July 30 8-10 PM X-RATED POTATO PRINT WORKSHOP (ADULTS ONLY!!!)

Create your own X or even triple-X potato prints. (There will NOT be a live model.) Bring along Tshirts, undergear, and any odd fabrics you have to print upon. We will supply potatoes and ink.
