6th & B Garden Events
- Community Garden Members
- Our events committee taps into the skills of the many artist members, who stage programs of crafts, horticultural/science workshops, slide shows, multicultural festivals, and performances from around the world. The events program, runs all summer, featuring over 75 events annually, drawing thousands of visitors. In addition, three preschool centers joined the garden; garden members developed an environmental curriculum to teach the children gardening and nature principles and skills. ------------------------------------------- The Events Program is generously supported by the Mary Flager Cary Charitable Trust and European American Bank. The Events Program would also like to thank the Trust for Public Land for ongoing assistance. These Programs are also made possible in part with public funds from The Fund for Creative Communites/New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Decentralization Program (DEC), administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council(LMCC), and from The Rockefeller Flow Fund.
